Data grids (also known as data tables) are the main concept Rebillia uses throughout its interfaces to display large amount of data in an easily understandable, organized, visual way. To allow segmentation of the loaded data, Data Grid Filters allow creating unique search terms that manipulate the data displayed in the grid.
Creating Filters
Data Grid Filters (“filers”) are an easy way to manipulate the information Rebillia displays in a data grid. Even though the amount of columns (unique fields) displayed in the grid is limited, filters allow to create unique search queries using data that is not visible in the table, but still related to the component the user is interacting with.
For Example – Even though the “Subscriptions” data grid does not display the subscription’s MRR value, a filter can be created using the MRR as the attribute we filter by, allowing users to create a unique view of only subscriptions that answer a specific MRR condition.
Filters work on a stackable condition rule set, meaning you can apply multiple conditions to a single filter. Each condition will be comprised of an attribute we want to check, an operator that defines what we are checking for and a value the operator will validate against.
Using the example above, by setting the attribute to “MRR”, the operator to “greater than” and the value to “100” – we can create a unique view showing only subscriptions that have an MRR higher than $100.
To expand on the same filter, we can then add another, separate, stacking, rule to specify even further what data we want to get. For example, lets set another rule where attribute is set to “Next Charge”, operator is set to “Between” and value is set to “Next 7 Days”. With this rule, and the previous, we now get presented with subscriptions that have an MRR higher than $100 AND are set to be charged within the next 7 days.
Satisfied with the filter we just created, we can save the filter for this specific grid and re-use it in future visits.
Note! – With the immense flexibility this feature provides, there may be some unique, stackable, combinations that Rebillia’s system did not properly quantify yet. If you find a filter configuration that does not work – let us know.
Deleting Filters
Any filter created by a user can be deleted. To delete an existing filter, click the filter button and select “Manage Filters” from the bottom of the filter menu. Then, select the filter you with to remove, and click the “Delete” button.
Predefined filters that come built-in with the software can not be deleted.
